Third Lightbulb,

Oh yes, a pc needs to be cleaned up too. However you do not need a vacumcleaner,
to do this.

When I first started I didnīt know a thing about all this. And of course I got in trouble from
time to time. I thought I had a rather good pc, since after all we did pay alot of money for it
back in dec.2000. But you know how it is, a pc is old the day after you got it
installed.
Anyway, I had to fight for pc time with 3 teenage girls still living with us.
I had to learn everything on my own, they didnīt feel like telling me.
But from being a Napster addicted I slowly turned into an Internet Marketer.
I was very lucky to find Mpam almost at once and all friendly people there.
Not only friendly, they were also really helpful. Telling me all how toīs.
With not a very big hard drive I quickly learned how to take care of my pc.
And that means cleaning up, every day to free up space and help the pc working better and
faster.
In case you donīt know, the fact is, that whatever you do with your pc you fill it up with
information. Information that doesnīt always need to be left in there. And trust me, it is not
difficult to get rid of it. Just a few easy steps, but you need to do them at least once a day.
I made a rule to always cleanup after surfing and also just before shutting down.
That works for me and after almost 3 years online I just do it, it became a good habit.

So how to do it then?
First click on *Start* and then Controlpanel in the menu. When you get the page with all
icons you click *Internet-options*. When that opens you will see in the middle *clear
cookies*. Click there and when asked if you want to remove all cookies from folder
Temp.Internet files, click OK.
Next you click remove files and when asked you click OK there too. Below you will find an
option to set how long your pc will save pages you have been visiting in the History folder.
You can set that to a lower number if you wish. You might also want to click *clear history*
from time to time. For ex. if set to 7 your pc will clear that for you every 7th day.
This Internet-Option can also be found from your browser. Whatever browser you are using
just look under tools and you will see it. In Mozilla and InternetExplorer itīs the last option in
the dropdown. To complete this cleanup and really free up space you must also do a
diskcleanup. Just go to This computer and rightclick C: then click *properties* at the bottom
and on next click disk cleanup. A small window will open and when asked click OK.
This will only take a few seconds and after you can see how much free space you have on
your pc. Good luck!
ps. I now have a new pc with lots of free space but I still do this, every day!
