*My favorite Fantasy book.*
I have always been a reader, since I was very young and I read almost everything, but Fantasy books are favorites. It all started when we gave our son his first Fantasy book back in 1989. You have to remember that in Sweden in the late 80īs,
everything was related to Dragon and Demons. My teenagers were addicted too and my son was worst. Anyway he got his book and after reading it he said: - Mum, this is a book you will love. And he was right, I did. I still read it once a year and enjoy it even more. I know I am not alone doing this, nor am I alone loving that book.
The book I am talking about here is Doomfarers of Coramonde and Starfollowers of Coramonde by Brian Daley.
I was lucky to get it 2 in one in the Swedish version. I donīt know what it is that is making that book so special. Everything about it is just perfect, the characters, the story and the places. Just imagine an active Army unit that is transported in wink from Vietnam to an alternate universe, all of a sudden facing a very much alive dragon.
These 2 books was the start of am amazing row of books from Brian Daley. Among them all the books behind The Star Wars. However Brian died in 1996 of pancreatic cancer.
