5th Lightbulb,
*Following up from 3rd Lightbulb*
Remember in the 3rd Lightbulb how I told you how you can and should clean up
your pc from time to time?
Well, get ready for some really nice information. The following tip I got in the Newsletter
from Traffic Roundup and since I downloaded and tested the little cleaning software,
I thought it would be perfect to pass it on to you.

Keeping Your Computer System Running Fast and Clean.
Today we have some good information for you on
how to keep your computer running smooth while
you are doing a lot of surfing.
If you don't keep your computer clean, it can start
to bog down and run slow, or even freeze up. It's
a bit like not tuning up your car.
* Cleaners*
There are some good free cleaners you can use to
get rid of some of the garbage that piles up on your
computer while surfing.
*CCleaner*
This is a very useful tool. It finds things that many
other cleaners don't. It will also fix some of the
other issues you may have on your computer. It's
available free at:
*Regular Maintenance*
ScanDisk / Defrag.
If you are using Windows, you should run ScanDisk
periodically. If you find that your computer is
sluggish or acting strange, run ScanDisk then run
Defrag.
ScanDisk will scan your hard drive for errors,
and Defrag will go back through your hard drive
and reorganize all of your files that getter scattered
all over the place. This makes it quicker for you
computer to find them when it needs them.
*Clear The Cache*
When you're viewing sites on the Internet, your
computer stores images and things like that from
pages you visit in a Temporary Internet Files
folder. This makes it quicker for pages to load
the next time you go back. This folder is called
the cache (sounds like cash).
However, this folder should be cleaned now and
then. Your browser should have a Tools tab, or
an Options tab, or both. In there you can usually
find a button to clear the cache. Use this often
for better computer performance.
*Reboot Often*
This may sound simplistic, but you would be
surprised how many people do not do this. All
kinds of problems can be caused by not rebooting
(restarting your computer) often enough.
I do this several times a day. This keeps everything
running smoothly because the computer memory, which
can get used up quickly with big programs, gets
refreshed.
*Back Up Files*
Always back up your most important files before
using any of these programs. Back up often. This
is so important, and it would be sad to learn this
the hard way (I can vouch for this).
We hope these things will be helpful to you.
